Each of these illustrations represent a face card from my tarot deck's Suit of Cups. This card suit is associated with the free-flowing element of water and, when drawn in divination readings, deals in matters of the heart.

The Page of Cups is a dreamer. They are sensitive, creative, and in-tune with their inner-child.
For this card, I imagined a curious little koi mermaid exploring the edge of a lotus-filled pond.

The Knight of Cups is a true romantic. They are quite charming and alluring, and very in tune with their emotions. When faced with a decision, they will always follow their heart ❤
For this card, I had a vivid image in my mind of a kraken-like mermaid drawing in ships with her seductive siren song.

The Queen of Cups is caring and compassionate. She has high intuition and a nurturing personality, always ready to guide and support others.
For this card, I imagined a mermaid with a long and twisting tail, similar to a water dragon. Like a deity, she quietly watches over and tends to her sea cove.

The King of Cups is a wise and diplomatic leader. He is in control of his feelings and accepts them, without ever letting them overwhelm him.
For this card, I imagined a giant-like merman watching over a small seaside city. The dragon (a symbol of kingship in many eastern traditions) on his back symbolizes his reign and mastery over all matters of the heart.
